Master bedroom has a king bed with an updated private bath. The guest bedroom has 2 double beds. The second bathroom has also recently been renovated! Living room has a sofa that pulls out to a queen sleeper sofa. Unit will sleep 8 people. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. Kitchen has been remolded and is fully stocked!This ground floor unit is conveniently located to the pool, coin laundry, arcade and office. The patio faces the courtyard and blocks the heat from the evening summer sun making it perfect to sip on something cool while sitting outside! If you want to feel the sand between your toes, just walk 30 yards south and your at the gulf! Non Smoking

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.

Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!

Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).

Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.

Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:

- Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard

- Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!

- Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.

- S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

Destin vacay

Our condo was very clean, furniture was comfortable. The beach was perfect and wasn’t crowded. You can’t beat the beautiful emerald waters and soft, cool sand. My first complaint is management had charged an extra day without my permission. After sending an email asking how much an extra night would be they responded with a price and went ahead and took money without my confirmation. Secondly, to be such a family oriented place I was surprised to be woken up late one night to a group of loud, drunk men right outside our bedroom window. Security was supposed to be on duty til 3 am, this happened 20 minutes til and nobody ever answered when I called to have the problem resolved. For only having one month to find a place when planning this vacation our stay was nice.

A Great Week on the Beach

We took our daughter and two granddaughters to Silver Dunes for the week. The two granddaughters were 4th generation Silver Dunes Guests. The unit was great, the staff were helpful and George on the beach was accommodating as always. The water was very clear until our last day when a storm blew in some weeds. All and all it was a great trip, and the military discount was most appreciated.

Great unit, busy week!

We love silver Dunes! We have come for years. This unit is updated and great. I highly recommend it!. Unfortunately Fourth of July week has gotten really busy and so much traffic we hope to find another week to come.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Not sure if it would work for you but October is our favorite time of the year here! The Gulf is still warm enough for swimming and the traffic is much better.

Great Family Vacation

We have been coming here for several years with our family and friends. Its a great complex for small kids because its not too big. So easy to get to the beach and pool.
