Unit 48 is located within the gates of Silver Dunes Condominiums, offering a relaxing, safe, and wonderful vacation getaway in this 1,500sf townhouse unit (non-smoking) with unmatched privacy and breathtaking panoramic views of the gulf, the pool, and the one acre “green” courtyard. A short 75 yard walk to beach through a manicured courtyard and you will be playing in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! Centrally located to the pool, game room, and BBQ grills. The first floor offers a family room with two comfortable seating areas for all, a full dining room, an open and fully-stocked kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a first floor balcony for outside entertaining, and a half bath. Upstairs offers two large bedrooms (King in master and Queen bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom.) with plenty of closet space, two large baths, and a wonderful second floor balcony providing the perfect view of the gulf and the entire property. Unit 48 is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi and 2 sleeper sofas. Washer & Dryer and ice maker in unit!

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.

Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!

Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).

Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.

Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:

- Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard

- Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!

- Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.

- S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

2 story condo

This rental was amazing! 2 story with plenty of space for a large family. The washer and dryer were an added perk! Both balconies had great views. Don’t forget to bring your own trash bags, hand soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, and paper plates+ plastic cups for kids.

Great the ice make was a major bonus. Master was fantastic . Not a fan of the bunk beds. Seemed like the dryer didn't dry well with one cycle but maybe I just didn't know how to use it? Overall great stay just some suggestions.

Great Vacation!

We love coming to Silver Dunes! This was our family’s 5th time! All the units we have stayed in have been good! This one was the most comfortable and had the perfect amount of space for our family, plus 3 more that joined us this year (8 total). Love being able to walk out so quickly to the beach. Beach service was excellent! I am sure our family will be back again soon!

Fall Break Getaway

This is our first time ever in 15 years staying further west in Destin. We loved the uncrowded beach, the quiet of the condo neighborhood and how clean the grounds were. The condo was in great condition. There were two minor issues upon check in and maintenance came to fix right away. There were plenty of towels which was also great!

Wonderful Vacation in #48

From the moment we pulled in to the property we felt right at home and excited about our choice of properties! The gate attendant was eager to assist with all our questions. The biggest surprise was the condo we selected!! Can I saw "WOW", we were so impressed!! The condo was exceptionally clean, had a fully stocked kitchen, several areas for seating in the living room, balcony was perfect with a view of the property and the ocean..and that is just the first level. The second level with the bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room was perfect to let everyone have their space and could sleep in without noise from the main living space. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were extremely nice! We appreciated the beach service that came along with the condo rental. The property was perfect as well and we loved the green space between the pool and the ocean. We will certainly book again at Silver Dunes and condo #48!! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
