1 bedroom 1 bath located on the ground floor of the Penthouse building. King bed in the master and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Bathroom has a walk in shower. A short 75 yard walk to beach through a manicured courtyard and you will be playing in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! Centrally located to the pool, game room, coin laundry, and BBQ grills.Unit has been remodeled and is exquisite!! Unit 12 also has a washer and dryer. Unit sleeps 4. Non-smoking

Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.

Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!

Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).

Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.

Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:

- Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard

- Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!

- Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.

- S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

Ideally Located with Beautiful Beach to Enjoy!

We loved our stay in Destin and will certainly return again. Our unit was on 1st floor, parking access and easy access to the pool, grills and a short walk to the beach. The one bedroom unit was decorated tastefully with beach decor, updated with modern finishes. The shower was great! The kitchen was well appointed. Having a stackable washer and dryer in the bedroom was a huge plus. The property grounds were well maintained. A few of our family members didn’t have the same experience with their unit. We were happy with both SD012 and SD044.

Gorgeous weather, perfect beach

We love Silver Dunes and have spent many vacations staying in different units over the years. The weather was gorgeous for the majority of our visit. The water has never been more beautiful and the accommodations on the beach were perfect. We loved the washer/dryer in Unit 12 but had to adjust to the thermostat at 70 degrees while we slept, the uncomfortable king mattress, and the noises the ice maker and the central unit made while sleeping. The plantation blinds in the den would not remain shut. We will definitely come back to Silver Dunes but will choose a different unit.

Summer Vacation 2022

Destin is a wonderful place, however the bed in this unit needs replacement! The owner should be ashamed to have this in their unit!

Gotta get away vacation

Very nice facility although somewhat dated/aging interior. Low density at this time of year (end of Summer) facilitated parking close to beach during day, and back at condo door at night.

First time in destin

We liked silver dunes and will probably return. Our only complaint is the air vents were very dirty but other than that, everything was clean and accommodating.

Fun but rainy stay in Destin

The unit was fabulous! It had so many amenities. My only suggestion would be to replace the mattress in the King bed. It’s time.

Sun ,White sand, and the sea

Had a wonderful stay, the guard at the entrance was very nice, enjoyed talking with him.
Recommend: the shower need attention to.
Loved the location, so easy to walk to the beach.
Condo was very clean, loved having the washer and dryer in the unit.
Property management helped us get our flight check in and printed our boarding pass. Thank you so much.
Loved the Destin area, hope to return sometime in the future.

Great Unit--Terrible bed

We love the unit from the location to the decor. Everything and everyone at Silver Dunes made for a great vacation. However, the mattress was awful and we did not rest well at all.We cannot stay in this unit again unless a decent bed is there.

Great Stay!

Unit 12 is perfect for a family with 1-2 small children. It was completely updated - great furniture and appliances - and even had its own washer dryer! Would recommend changing out the door knobs as they were a bit sticky but that is it as far as improvement recommendations. Would stay again.

Silver Dunes

For over 40 years our extended family has stayed at Silver Dunes. It is a tradition that we look forward to annually. The grounds and pool are well maintained. It is very family oriented and located close to shopping, attractions and restaurants. The beach is beautiful and George provides excellent beach rental service! We definitely recommend Silver Dunes.

Just like home

This one bedroom was adorable!! Great use of space and comfort. Plus having washer and dryer in unit for convenience.
Silver Dunes is wonderful place to stay in Destin. We stayed in several units since 2013 we love our home away from home!!!!!

Modern and Clean Condo with Everything You Need!

Our family had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the updated finishes. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed since we love to cook in most evenings. The bed and pull out couch were very comfortable too. We would definitely book again!

First time stay

Overall it was great, the only thing is the bed was horrible. There was a very large indention in the bed. Other than that we loved it

Our visit at Silver Dunes

I used to stay at Silver Dunes years ago but we moved out west and went to other attractions closer to home.
needless to say Destin has changed. Some good things others not so good. The loud tourist boats to close to the beach and the helicopters circling was lound and annoying.
But with that being said we enjoyed our stay at Silver Dunes. Unit 12 was great and nicely decorated.
